Multiferroics : Past, present and future
Abstract：
Multiferroics are the materials in which ferromagnetism,ferroelectricity , ferroelasticity occur in the same phase. Becuase of this extraordinary behavior along with several technological applications , attracted the attention of the scientific community. In view of this, an effort will be made to ontroduce the concept of Multiferrocs, especially for the beginners / general audience. A sytematic explanation of different types of multiferroics along with their interesting propoerties and applications will be carried out.

汇报人简介(中文)：P. Venugopal Reddy教授是A.P.科学院院士，印度Osmania大学物理系教授，从事钻研铁磁性资料、金属玻璃、高Tc超导体、巨磁阻锰氧化物、稀磁半导体、尖晶石铁磁电资料等近30年，在国际期刊共颁发超过150篇论文，顺利实现了12个由分歧赞助机构赞助的课题，领导17位博士钻研生实现钻研工作。占有3项基于铁磁资料分歧方面的专利，对钻研生教授凝聚态物理已20多年，出版专著3部。对美国、意大利、日本、法国、新加波、马来西亚进行屡次学术接见。Reddy博士此刻是马来西亚玛拉科技大学客座高级教授，也是国际期刊Physics express的资深编委。
汇报人简介(英文)：Prof. P. Venugopal Reddy, Fellow of A.P. Academy of Sciences, has been working on various types of materials such as ferrites, metallic glasses, High Tc superconductors, Colossal Magneto Resistive manganites, Diluted magnetic semiconductors, manganite based multiferroics etc., at Dept. of Physics, Osmania University for the last 30 years. He has published more than 150 papers in International Journals and successfully completed 12 research projects funded by various funding agencies. 17 students were awarded Ph.Ds under his supervision and he is having three patents based on various aspects of ferrite materials. He has been teaching Condensed Matter Physics to post graduate students for the last 20 years. He is also author of three books. He has visited no. of countries including USA, Italy, Japan, France, Singapore and Malaysia. Dr. Reddy is currently a senior visiting Professor at University of Technology, Mara, Malaysia. He is also a senior editor of an International Journal- Physics express.
