演讲者: Prof. Luc Vandendorpe，比利时鲁汶大学
演讲者简介：
Luc Vandendorpe教授于1991年从比利时鲁汶大学(Université Catholique de Louvain)获得博士学位，此刻为该校通讯技术、电子与利用数学学院院长(Institute for Information and Communication Technologies, Electronics and Applied Mathematics) 。他现为IEEE Fellow，并且担任EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking(SCI收录)的主编 。他已经4次主持实现欧盟第七框架打算项目，并且3获得最优论文奖 。他的重要钻研方向为无线通讯与信号处置系统的优化设计，已经在IEEE汇刊上颁发100多篇论文，累计被引用4000余次 。
讲座提要：
The topic of the presentation will be the introduction to the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies, Electronics and Applied Mathematics (ICTEAM) of the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL), Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.
After a general description of the University, ICTEAM will be described: the research areas, the experimental facilities, the impact on publications and on industry and the presence in the international community. A few success stories will be highlighted. Examples of research results transferred or to be transferred to industry will be discussed.
